Business Career Goals

Hi, my name is Jimmy Temos and I would like to introduce myself before I get into my goals. I am 18 years old and born on October 22nd, 1991. I am generally a shorter guy at 5'8" or 5'9". I have hazel eyes and black hair. I love hockey, working out, video games and socializing. Well, that's enough about my background, onto the main show.

Being 18 I haven't had much idea where I wanted to go with my life. There is a lot out there to do. I'm not one to sit around too much and stay still at any given moment. I like to keep moving, keep thinking and stay active. This played a huge role in my career decisions. I tossed around many ideas such as a military career as I have always been interested since I was very young. My parents don't approve of such a career because they're afraid for my well-being. Another choice was policing, it was the next best alternative. I get to help people, protect people and dislodge any threat to our current society. Though, I still wasn't sure. My dad is a pretty savvy businessman and runs the sales department for a multi-million dollar company called Anixter. He always told me that I could do whatever I wanted, but that he thought I would make an excellent businessman. Though I never gave the idea much time of day I considered it regardless. So, in my immense confusion in my life and high school drawing to it's end I decided I would take a business program at Sheridan and try out business. Though my motives are just, it wasn't just a spur of the moment decision; I made this decision for one reason I haven't stated yet. Aside from the military or policing or even firefighting, there is one thing I would love to do with my life; own a successful business. I would love to do this and I would like to attain the education necessary to do so.

My ultimate goal to achieve from a business standpoint is definitely to own a successful business and make a name for it out there in the world. To do this I need to attain common knowledge as well as book smarts. To accomplish this goal I decided to get my education at Sheridan and apply what I learn in my program to the real world to start my business. However, my plan is to get work experience in the market I intend to open my business up in(which is to be decided still); to understand the market and how it operates, properly. In the meantime I intend to keep learning in college and observing market fluctuations and the world as it's many demands change.
